Dana was born in Scotland, April of 1984 and grew up having a passion for the natural world. At the age of 14, she was diagnosed with Lupus which had a great impact (both positive and negative) in her life. Often not attending school, she took that opportunity to escape in to nature and realised the detrimental effects of anthropological factors. She grew up sea kayaking all over the west coast of Scotland and by the age of 16 became a qualified 4 star sea kayaker. She attended the Universoty of Aberdeen at the age of 17 to study Zoology. Sadly she fell ill and had to leave. She continued to follow her dream of studying a related degree and attempted studies at Plymouth and Edinburgh University. She came to realise that science wasn't really the direction for her and embarked on a more creative approach to protecting wildlife. She always had a passion for writing, photography and filming so is dedicating her time to study in this area.

Dana also worked as a Bosun in the youth training tall ship. the Spirit of Fairbridge where she learned a great deal about the sea. But more importantly, working with inner city youths from troubled backgrounds made her realise that she wanted to help both young adults and wildlife which is the Kucinski Wildlife Foundation's primary focus.

She hopes that her determination and compassion in setting up the Kucinski Wildlife Foundation will help to make postive changes for the natural world.
