Today urban sprawl plays a major factor in the drastic declne in biodiversity across the UK and also worldwide. Also, large scale agri-business and poor farming practises result in many animals losing perfect niches. Garden Wild will look at the major problems causing once thribing town and gardens species to disappear and ways in which you can create your own wildlife haven in your back garden. Learn ecological alternatives to gardening and ways in which to attract butterflies as the dance around from flower to flower, and create safe homes for hedgehogs. Enjoy teh diversity of wildlife just by looking out your window.
Due to the increasing pressure on natural habitats throughout Britain and other countries, wildlife is becoming more and more at risk. Habitat encroachment and urbanisation, combined with the drainage of wetlands, increased polution and mono-culture agricultural practises, wildlife is increasingly reliant on gardens.
The KWF team have a love for gardening and you will often find that they spend their free time relaxing and working in their gardens.
