Let’s Celebrate the Magnificent Animals of the World.
The World Animal Day came in to existence in 1931 during an ecologist convention in Florence as a means of promoting the awareness of animals and the threats they face. It has now become a global event with many individuals, community groups and companies taking part.
The Kucinski Wildlife Foundation would like to take part in this year’s World Animal Day and will be organising a small event – Art and Photo Walk for Animals.
About the Event
The aim of the event is to get people out and about looking for animals, capturing them on camera or on paper and helping to inspire everyone to appreciate the animals in our surrounding areas. Members of the KWF team will also help people to identify the animals and will be equipped with identification books if necessary! The walk could last between one to four hours depending on the weather and how everyone is feeling.
It would be great to gather all the artwork created and photos taken and develop an album of the day.
Remember to dress for the weather and you can bring a packed lunch too! Don't worry if you don't have a camera, you will have the opportunity to use Beata's camera if you wish. We love dogs, so we welcome them on the walk as long as they are good with people and other dogs.
